The Captek Crown is the result of 30 years of research by an internationally renowned Prosthodontist and world-class dental technician, with the sole purpose of developing the best restoration to offer their own patients. This unique scientific breakthrough enables your dentist to deliver natural, long-lasting crowns and bridges that, most importantly, are healthier for your surrounding gums. For centuries, gold has been known as the preferred material for dental restorations. Captek's advanced technology combines all the advantages of high-purity gold, without sacrificing the strength of lower gold dental materials. Years of research and patient satisfaction have proven that Captek crowns are durable, accurate, resistant to harmful bacteria and plaque, and - what will be most obvious to you, the patient - attractive. Finally, compromises need not be made to achieve a beautiful and healthy smile. Portfolio overview Nobel Biocare has been a pioneer in the field of restorative and esthetic dentistry since its first collaboration with Professor Per-Ingvar Brånemark, developing and marketing his original dental implant system. Over the past twenty years, Nobel Biocare has developed numerous advancements in dental implants. Today, Nobel Biocare offers the most comprehensive portfolio of indication-based implants and prosthetics. Nobel Biocare’s standardized implant portfolio comprises solutions for all indications—from single-tooth to fully edentulous restorations—offering the best possible quality and esthetics to dental professionals and their patients. Nobel Biocare’s implant solutions are suited to all patients’ indications and can be placed using either Immediate Loading or one- or two-stage surgical protocols. To ensure maximum treatment flexibility, Nobel Biocare’s implants and abutments are available in various lengths and diameters, and with different thread designs and prosthetic platforms. Many of Nobel Biocare’s implants also require only minimally invasive procedures, thus reducing the healing time and the time patients are required to spend at the dentist’s. Leading materials and technologies Nobel Biocare’s implants are made from commercially pure (CP) titanium—the most proven of all implant materials—and the majority of them feature the surface technologies TiUnite and Groovy. In 1953, Professor Brånemark discovered what he called osseointegration—that titanium integrates with living bone. Because of its high biocompatibility with bone, titanium has become the industry standard for use in medical devices. For all its implants, Nobel Biocare uses a specially treated version of CP titanium that delivers extra strength. TiUnite is a patented biomaterial surface that is applied to all Nobel Biocare dental implants. TiUnite has demonstrated that it enhances osseointegration and therefore improves the anchorage of the implant in bone by stimulating bone growth directly on its surface. TiUnite has a high success rate in all oral regions and indications, and is backed by over 90 clinical publications. Groovy is an arrangement of macroscopic grooves that have been added to a number of Nobel Biocare dental implants. These grooves were designed to provide more surface area on which bone can grow; in fact research has shown that bone forms faster on implants with grooves than those without, improving implant stability and anchorage in the surrounding bone. Implant portfolio Nobel Biocare offers an extremely broad solution portfolio in order to meet the individual needs of dental professionals and their patients. The four most popular implants in the portfolio are NobelReplace™, NobelActive™, NobelSpeedy™, and Brånemark System™. Together, these four implant families cover the full range of possible restorations—from single tooth and full arch. NobelReplace Its versatility, ease-of-use and predictability have made NobelReplace™ the most widely used implant design in the world. Considered a general-use, bone-level implant system, NobelReplace performs equally well in soft and hard bone. It can be used in both one- and two-stage surgical procedures, and with immediate temporary abutments and prosthetics, while the tapered shape consistently delivers optimal initial stability. Dental professionals benefit from a system that is unique in ease of use, flexibility and breadth of application – a system that grows according to their needs and requirements. NobelReplace’s main benefits are: * Color-coded system for easy and fast component identification and use * Standardized and simplified step-by-step drilling protocol for predictable surgical procedures * Tri-channel internal connection for direct and accurate prosthetic restorations * TiUnite & Groovy NobelActive NobelActive is Nobel Biocare’s most recent and innovative dental implant design. NobelActive is especially designed for high initial stability in soft bone and extraction sockets. Before its launch, NobelActive successfully underwent an eight-month pre-launch activity involving experienced users worldwide. NobelActive’s main benefits are: * High initial stability, even in compromised bone situations * Bone condensing property * Adjustable implant orientation for optimal final placement * Built-in Platform Shifting * Dual-function prosthetic connection * TiUnite & Groovy NobelSpeedy NobelSpeedy is another of Nobel Biocare’s best selling implants and enjoys ongoing popularity in the market. NobelSpeedy enables dental professionals to achieve exceptional primary stability at the time of implant placement, and is especially successful in soft to medium bone. It is the preferred implant for treating edentulous patients using the All-On-4 solution. NobelSpeedy’s main benefits are: * Initial stability especially in soft to medium bone, supporting Immediate Function and resulting in greater patient comfort and shorter treatment time * Maximum flexibility thanks to a choice of internal or external prosthetic connection * Easy identification and use of components during the surgical and restorative procedures due to a complete color-coded system * TiUnite & Groovy Brånemark System Brånemark System is the original implant system in the Nobel Biocare implant portfolio, and continues to enjoy high acceptance in the marketplace due to its versatility and proven track record. Brånemark System, featuring TiUnite and Groovy, is suited for treating almost all indications, but it is especially effective in dense bone situations. It is also well adapted for graftless procedures. Brånemark System is the most proven and scientifically documented implant solution, and comes with over 20 years of clinical documentation. Brånemark System’s main benefits are: * Self cutting implant designed for dense bone * A wide range of treatment solutions such as Shorty, Zygomatic and traditional implants. * Forty years of proven clinical success * Enhanced original design offering the latest Nobel Biocare innovations such as TiUnite and Groovy Standardized abutment portfolio Nobel Biocare provides a comprehensive prosthetic portfolio, designed to work with according implant systems and prosthetic connections. Nobel Biocare’s assortment includes standard definitive prostheses for standard crown and bridge treatments—from single-tooth replacements to full-arch restorations—as well as healing abutments or cover screws for situations where an immediate temporary prosthetic is not possible. Healing abutments are available for use in single-tooth and bridge restorations. Together, implants and prosthetics create a powerful and efficient system for use in nearly every restorative situation. dental lab Chicago, dental laboratory Chicago, porcelain crowns chicago, empress veneers Chicago, procera crowns Chicago, captek crowns chicago, porcelain veneers Chicago, crowns, veneers, porcelain crowns, porcelain crowns chicago,Atlantis abutments, chicago empress veneers, empress veneers Chicago,Procera crowns, procera crowns Chicago, captek crowns, captek crowns Chicago, lava, lava bridge chicago, New Dentures, Denture Repairs, Denture Relines, Complete Dental Services in Chicago, Illinois Also serving Chicagoland neighborhoods, Jefferson Park, Belmont Cragin, Logan Square, Edison Park, Norwood Park, Forest Glen, North Park, Albany Park,Edgewater, Lakeview, Lincoln Park, Avondale, Portage Park, Irving Park, Dunning, Montclare, Hermosa, Loop, Humbolt Park, Near North Side, O'Hare, Austin, North Lawndale, dental implants, dentist lab referrals, dental lab to the midwest.

WHAT IS CAPTEK™   no comments

Posted at 5:50 pm in -Uncategorized-

What is CAPTEK

Captek is a unique “composite metal” or often referred to as an “internally reinforced gold” material which is ideal for crown and bridge restorations.  Capillary Technology is used to combine the benefits of gold and the benefits of platinum and palladium in the same system.  The hard particles of platinum and palladium are arranged like a skeleton or a metal sponge.  The gold is drawn in and through that sponge during the fabrication process.  The result is a thin gold coping that is internally reinforced with a skeleton of hard, rigid, thermally stable particles.  This is the only material of its kind.  It is NOT a cast alloy.  It is NOT a foil.

Metal – Free Porcelain Crowns   no comments

Metal – Free Porcelain Crowns

The indication for a crown is when a tooth is damaged extensively and reconstruction with a filling, an inlay, or a veneer is no longer possible. This is the case when:

  • The defect is subgingival
  • The tooth has been root-canal-treated (devitalized)
  • The tooth is broken off (fractured) in a deep lying area
  • Caries or old fillings are widespread throughout the tooth

All-porcelain (ceramic) crowns without metal core are distinguished by their excellent aesthetics. Light is not only reflected, there is also real transparency as seen in natural teeth. This effect makes the all-porcelain crown perfect for use in anterior areas, whereby minor form and alignment corrections are also possible.

A further advantage of the metal-free ceramic crown is the tooth-shaded margin, which need not be placed under the gum line. Thus, the crown margin does not irritate the gingival tissue and prevents gum recession.

Porcelain (ceramic) is an extremely biocompatible material with no allergenic potential. This can be a real advantage to predisposed (allergic) patients.

With smaller defects, limited to the outer surface, we prefer treatment using porcelain facings (veneers), allowing more of the natural tooth to be preserved during preparation.

Progressive development in ceramics brings forth ever stronger materials, such as zirconium ceramic. Therefore, it is now possible to fit metal-free porcelain crowns in the posterior area.

Cergogold

Cergogold restorations not only look like natural teeth, but they also perform like them! The Cergogold system exhibits smooth surfaces and hardness values resembling those of natural teeth. This type of surface has been proven to abrade the antagonists at a natural rate. As with the Golden Gate alloy range, Cergogold can also be veneered with Duceragold porcelain. empress Metal Free Porcelain CrownsMatching the shades of all-ceramic and metal-ceramic restorations in the same patient’s mouth is no longer a problem.

  • 20% softer than competing systems
  • Fracture and shear resistance better than any other pressable ceramic
  • The highest performing low wear restoration when overlaid with hydrothermal porcelain
  • Light Dynamic results, no adverse effects under various lighting conditions!

3 Unit Bridge HomeThank you for taking the time to learn about Premium Dental Laboratory. Premium is a full service dental lab based in Chicago Illinois founded by Mark Val in 1979. From one man in the back of a dental office to fifty people today one thing that has not changed is a dentist’s need for predictable and beautiful restorations from our lab. What has changed dramatically is how those restorations are fabricated and what they are made of. In the beginning a technician waxed and cast then put porcelain on the PFM and sent it doctor. Today we have products and techniques that can make a restoration look more like a natural tooth than ever before. Unfortunately these are not magic and there are many techniques to learn and master to use these products to their fullest potential. Swedging a Captek, designing a CAD-CAM substructure such as a Lava or Cercon, or pressing E-MAX are all very different from PFMs.

Even with all the products and techniques available we at Premium strive to give that “My technician” feel. The way we accomplish this is by teaming a doctor with a ceramist and if it is a PFM one metal technician. If it is another substructure it is insourced to another technician who specializes that product and then back to the doctor’s ceramist. This smal lab consistency and big lab product line allow the dentist to choose the best restoration for each patient confident it was made right.

Please feel free to explore our site and get to know the products and services we provide.
